4 months old!!!

We went to the National Cherry Blossom festival with Jason and Teri on the 5th. The blooms were beautiful and it was a good thing that we got there since the rain and wind stripped the trees just a couple of days later. This shot is at the Tidal Basin and Emilia had such a great day riding in the sling!

She got a new hat to keep the sun out of her eyes while we are on a walk. I think it's so cute that I have her wear it all the time!!

Emilia's favorite thing to do is take a bath. She kicks so much that she's left with about half of the water in her tub by the end of bath time. When nothing else works a bath always makes her happy!

Lately she has been having a great time playing in her exersaucer. She's still too small to fit well so we have to prop her up with some blankets and give her a step stool but she's reaching for all of the toys and giggling at the star and dinosaur!

She's playing so much more these days and, as you can see, LJ stays close by. She's getting so much stronger and is very interested in her toys...mouthing everything she can get to her mouth!

Happy Easter!! Emilia had quite a pile of gifts and her very first Easter basket complete with rice cereal, sunglasses, and (symbolic) banana and avocado. We won't try solids for another couple of weeks...but what else do you put in a 4-month-old's Easter basket?

We skyped with everyone in PA while Emilia opened her presents...technology, WOW!!

LJ got a special basket with gourmet treats like puppy peanut butter cups and a yogurt-dipped chick. He'll be working on his Easter treats for a while.

This Easter was Emilia's first experience opening presents. She can pull tissue paper out of the bag and pull on the wrapping paper (with lots of help of course). The second video is LJ doing his annual Easter egg hunt (thanks to the Shoops for the great idea). He loves to hunt for eggs and Oscar just loves to follow him even though he has no idea what is going on!
