Brewfest 2011 has come and gone and it was the best one yet! The party started on Friday night with the arrival of the Eiseles and the Broadways. Mike and Elka brought the smoker (yes, this is what was required this year) and parked it in the backyard...it looked good there!
Aunt Janet and Uncle Kurt supplied the steaks and all the wonderful fixings. Mike put them on the smoker and yes, they were that good! Nicole and Chris stole away for the weekend and joined the festivities sans children.
Case and Emilia had a blast playing all weekend! Well, at least Emilia had a blast following Case around and, Case did a great job tolerating his little tail!
I was super psyched to go this year since I was out of commission last year. We had a nice group this year and the weather was absolutely perfect! Mom was a wonderful sport and stayed home with the kids so that I could relax and enjoy my time at the festival. My favorite part of the brewfest weekend each year is that we get to join our PA family with our VA "family". We have made such wonderful friends since moving here nearly 10 years ago that they feel like an extension of our family!
We also got the pleasure of meeting Matt's fiance, Jen! She's lovely and awesome and all of that!!
It seems that we get a bigger and better crowd every year! Can't wait until next year!
Of course the star of the show was Mike's barbeque! We had chicken and pork again and they were as delicious as always!! We made 50 lbs of chicken and 30 lbs of pork! We had delicious left-overs, but not many!
